A San Diego native, Taylar has been living in the Pacific Northwest for the past five years. She earned her B.A. in United States Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound. Currently, she is pursuing her J.D. at the University of Oregon School of Law. During her first year of law school, she clerked for the Department of Justice, Child Advocacy Section. Taylar first became interested in Special Education Law during her time as an undergraduate, where she worked at the nonprofit, Easter Seals. There, she performed respite care for campers of all ages and abilities. Her experience with Easter Seals very much impacted her decision to attend law school to further learn about education related issues. When she’s not working or in school, Taylar enjoys reading, baking, and snarky sitcoms. She loves dogs (of all shapes and sizes) and is happiest in the barn. While Taylar misses the sunshine of her home state, she’s growing to love Oregon’s own brand of liquid sunshine!
